BCS Guilin IDFLS Campus

Guangxi Education Department (Government) approved FLS to set up the International Division (IDFLS) in 2011. FLS was the first Foreign Language School authorized to offer international education. They serve their local community and the greater Guangxi community.

IDFLS mission is to cultivate students knowledgeable in the sciences and liberal arts, Western and Chinese educational practices, and strong in virtue. IDFLS values the development of students’ creativity, independence, self-learning, critical thinking, problem finding and solving, team cooperation, and social responsibility – all while laying a solid foundation for developing successful global citizens.

In 2016, cooperation agreement began with Bloomington Christian School (BCS) in San Bernardino, CA. BCS and IDFLS have a sister school agreement through which BCS provides their US high school curriculum to IDFLS. This curriculum is used by the teachers at IDFLS for classes taught in English and BCS provides a transcript for successfully completed courses. Students at IDFLS that take these BCS courses must meet the same graduation requirements as students at BCS in the USA to complete the program. Upon completion, they will receive a transcript reflecting these courses from BCS along with a diploma of completion. They will also receive an official graduation diploma from FLS. Students who graduate from the International Department of FLS regularly get acceptance from prestigious universities around the world such as: University of California—Berkeley, University of Washington, University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, University of Toronto, University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, The University of Edinburgh, King’s College London, University of St Andrews, Australian National University, University of Melbourne, University of Melbourne, etc.
